Hi! I'm Elena.
The heart, brain, and spreadsheet-loving soul behind Events by Elena 🤍
I graduated from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business with a degree in Management, Marketing, and Event Management, but the real magic didn’t start until after the cap and gown came off. I stepped into a full-time role as an Events & Operations Manager for a local venue in the greater Indianapolis area, and that’s where my passion for events truly took off.
In that role, I managed everything — corporate meetings, holiday parties, proms, weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, trade shows, birthday parties, and more. If people were gathering, celebrating, or networking, I was behind the scenes making sure it all ran smoothly. That hands-on experience is what made me realize this wasn’t just a job — it was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
From there, I expanded into the sports and large-scale event world, helping manage high-profile, sport-related events. I’ve worked with events at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, been part of the Pacers’ 2025 Finals run, WNBA All-Star, and collaborated with organizations like the Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts. These experiences sharpened my ability to stay calm, organized, and solution-focused — even when the stakes (and the chaos) are high.
After that, I moved fully into the wedding world, becoming a wedding planner for a dedicated venue to fine-tune my skills in the industry I love most. I fell head-over-heels for the thoughtful details — the timelines, the décor, the intentional moments that turn a wedding day into a memory couples carry forever.
Eventually, I realized I didn’t want to choose just one type of event. I wanted the best of all worlds — corporate, personal, sporting, weddings, and everything in between — and that’s how Events by Elena was born.
I’m extremely Type A, which means I fan-girl over a good spreadsheet and get actual goosebumps when I cross the very last item off a checklist. I thrive in chaotic environments, so no event is too big, too bold, or too complicated. You want a car hanging from the ceiling? I will do everything in my power to make it happen.
When I’m not planning or managing an event, you can find me writing songs, aggressively side-eyeing Pilates by Izzy, baking sourdough goodies for friends and family, or hanging out with my two cats.
